Job summary

FreedomCare in Las Vegas is seeking a Medicaid Eligibility Specialist II to verify Medicaid eligibility, support enrollment, and maintain eligibility for home‑care services. This hybrid role requires in‑office presence 3 days a week and 2 days remote, with a Monday–Friday schedule.

Ideal candidates have an associate degree or higher and at least 2 years in healthcare or insurance verification, with strong customer service and Excel proficiency.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in healthcare administration, business, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of healthcare, insurance verification, or related experience.
• Experience with Medicaid verification and understanding of Medicaid regulations preferred.
• Strong customer focus with ability to handle high call volumes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with diverse audiences.
• Highly detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple systems.
• Proficiency with Excel and related data tools.

Responsibilities

• Verify Medicaid eligibility using online systems and tools.
• Serve as SME for Medicaid eligibility questions.
• Assist with preliminary review of Medicaid application documentation.
• Update patient records in Salesforce.
• Communicate with clients, caregivers and health plan partners about coverage.
• Collaborate with departments to resolve coverage and recertification issues.
• Train staff on Medicaid verification procedures.
