Job summary

AMC Global Media in Bethpage, NY seeks a Quality Control Technician to join the Media Operations & Engineering team. You will ensure accurate QC across media assets, manage metadata, and collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues and improve workflows.

The role requires knowledge of broadcast QC fundamentals, MAM systems, and transcoding workflows. A flexible schedule and ability to work on-site in Bethpage are required, with some work-from-home days allowed.

Qualifications

• Minimum combined 2 years of experience in Master Control, Quality Control and/or Video Editor.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Quality Control.
• Experience with broadcast technology and QC fundamentals.
• Knowledge of MAM software (e.g., Evertz Mediator) or equivalent MAM/DAM tools.
• Familiarity with third‑party MAM/Supply Chain tools (Auto QC, transcoding).
• Experience with codecs/wrappers, transcoding workflows and bit rates.
• Understanding of QC rating and reporting systems.
• Willingness to flexible schedule to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

• Communicate and maintain strong partnerships with internal stakeholders.
• Escalate technical issues to appropriate team members.
• Report inconsistencies across media assets from similar seasons, series, or suppliers.
• Provide accurate metadata entries and evaluate QC assignments with high attention to detail.
• Adhere to documented department practices and complete daily tasks.
