Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• P.E. licensure is required.
• 5+ years in the AEC industry preferred.
• Revit experience is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead design development and calculations for mechanical systems across schematic, design development, and construction document phases.
• Independently perform mechanical design tasks including load calculations, equipment sizing, controls sequences and diagrams, and code compliance checks.
• Prepare technical documentation for mechanical systems: system descriptions, narratives, and specifications, equipment schedules, redlines.
• Develop and review mechanical system layouts in Revit – HVAC, plumbing, and/or fire protection – with coordination across disciplines.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants to resolve design conflicts and progress design.
• Review RFIs and submittals with support from engineers and perform field verification and construction observation.
