Job summary

Honeywell Technologies is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer in Muncie, IN on a hybrid schedule. You will own mechanical design projects for fuel skid and air heater chamber systems, lead technical reviews, and coordinate with multiple teams to ensure on-time delivery and high-quality performance combustion solutions.

The role emphasizes CAD-based design, collaboration across departments, and continuous improvement within our CCS group. ABET-accredited degree and CAD proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent.
• 0-5 years engineering/project management experience.
• 0-5 years CAD experience.
• Willingness to travel domestically (minimal travel).

Responsibilities

• Own assigned mechanical design projects from concept through post-shipment.
• Provide technical leadership to CCS during development, execution, and post-shipment.
• Collaborate with ISC/shop, Engineering, Finance, Sales, and vendors.
• Coordinate projects using CAD in Global Engineering Service Centers.
• Review project specs during development before sale.
• Develop technical solutions for combustion systems as needed.
