Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Mechanical Drafter in Midland, TX for a hybrid role combining in-office drafting with remote work. You will produce CAD-based mechanical and electrical drawings for oil and gas projects, incorporating engineering markups and adhering to company standards.

Ideal candidates have an associate degree in CAD technology, strong communication, and the ability to multitask and meet deadlines. Travel may be required for client meetings and site visits as needed.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in CAD Technology preferred (Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Electrical, etc. acceptable)
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, CAD and other job related software

Responsibilities

• Provide general drafting CAD-based mechanical and electrical drawings for O&G projects while expanding drafting knowledge
• Work under general direction of discipline supervisor with deadlines, priorities and budget constraints
• Adhere to company and project drafting standards, plans and schedules
• Perform fieldwork: pull measurements, locate tie-ins, as-build existing systems
• Maintain effective communication with project team members
• Support other drafters and project team members to ensure timely design deliverables
