Job summary

ABB is seeking a seasoned Inventory Planner to lead end-to-end inventory planning, coordinating with vendors to ensure on-time delivery and optimal stock levels. The role includes setting parameters such as safety stock, reorder points, and lot sizes within planning systems and SAP, and collaborating with operations buyers to convert requisitions into POs.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in supply chain/procurement, strong communication skills, and solid experience with import/export

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain/Procurement.
• 3+ years of experience performing inventory management, stock planning, and MRP analysis.
• 3+ years of material planning experience related to import and export processes.
• ERP/SAP systems experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate material delivery schedules with vendors, track shipments, and resolve delays proactively.
• Calculate and maintain inventory parameters, including safety stock, reorder point, lot size, lead time, and replenishment strategies, in planning systems and ERPs.
• Coordinate material planning with call-offs to ensure requisitions are converted into purchase orders in collaboration with operations buyers and services.
• Generate purchase orders (POs) and ensure the timely delivery of all necessary materials.
• Identify potential material shortages, supply chain issues, or logistical problems and escalate or mitigate risks as needed to prevent project disruptions.
