Job summary

The Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (NEEA) is seeking an MRE Scientist to lead market research and evaluation projects, applying quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods approaches to inform program decisions. This role works within cross-functional teams on Market Transformation initiatives.

The position is based in the Portland, OR metro area with a hybrid work arrangement; candidates must be able to work onsite at least 2 days per week.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years’ experience in evaluation and/or market research project management.
• Ability to facilitate discussions with diverse program teams to align on project needs.
• Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative methods and their impact on results.
• Ability to draw meaningful conclusions from complex information sources.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage market research and evaluation projects using mixed methods.
• Develop long-term research and evaluation plans and metrics.
• Define objectives, scope, and deliverables for projects and manage budgets.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams and external contractors.
• Communicate insights to internal and external audiences.
