Job summary

Ruan is seeking a Managed Transportation Intern for Fall 2026 at our Des Moines campus, with a mix of on-site and remote work. The internship is temporary and part-time/hourly, designed to develop students pursuing careers in supply chain, transportation, accounting, HR, IT, or related divisions.

Interns will learn routing optimization, carrier tracking, and contribute to continuous improvement projects impacting Ruan and its customers.

Qualifications

• Education: Some College Courses Preferred (Supply Chain, Logistics, Human Resources, IT)
• Experience: none
• Must act with integrity and align with guiding principles (safety, people, customer, performance, continuous improvement)
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently

Responsibilities

• Learn routing optimization and carrier tracking in managed transportation
• Work on continuous improvement projects affecting Ruan and its customers
• Assist in preparing reports and presentations; apply college knowledge in the workplace
