Job summary

Consumers Credit Union in Lake Forest, IL, is seeking a Loan Processor to help process and fund approved loan packages, primarily consumer loans. You’ll work closely with the sales team and vendors to move files through to closing.

The role is hybrid with onsite and work-from-home days, typically Monday–Friday, with rotating Saturdays. Excellent organizational skills and focus on accuracy are essential.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1 year of experience in loan processing or related positions.
• Time management and organizational skills – must meet deadlines!
• Enthusiasm to work in a high-volume, fast paced environment.
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and Loan Origination Systems.
• Ability to work Monday through Friday and on rotating Saturdays: Monday-Friday 8:30 AM–6:00 PM; Rotating Saturdays 9:00 AM–1:00 PM.

Responsibilities

• Taking part in working on loan files by first reviewing supporting documents.
• Building relationships with vendors and sales staff and establishing a strong connection with them as you work their file through to closing.
• Processing related documentation and evaluate funded loans to ensure required documentation has been acquired.
• Working out of a loan origination system (LOS) to keep track of files and pull necessary data.
