Job summary

Dine Brands Global, Inc. in Pasadena, CA, seeks an experienced Litigation Counsel to manage and direct complex civil litigation for Applebee’s, IHOP, and related brands.

You will oversee outside counsel, drive strategy, and handle pre-litigation matters, investigations, discovery, and court filings in state and federal courts. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of civil litigation in top firms or corporations, CA Bar admission, and a practical, business-focused approach to risk and dispute

Qualifications

• 5+ years of civil litigation experience in top-tier law firm and/or corporation.
• Hands-on experience with discovery, motions, and trial preparation.
• Experience with mediation/arbitration and outside counsel management.
• CA Bar admission or eligible to register as in-house attorney in California.
• Ability to provide practical, business-focused legal counsel on disputes and risks.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on management and handling of litigation matters for Dine Brands and its brands.
• Process and review new lawsuits, attorney demands, and regulatory complaints.
• Active management of outside counsel for strategic, economic resolution of litigation matters.
• Serve as counsel of record as necessary; advise on pre-litigation matters.
• Provide business-focused legal counsel on potential disputes and regulatory risks.
• Oversee discovery responses, legal holds, and document preservation.
