Job summary

Wilson Elser's Los Angeles or Orange County office is seeking a Security Guard Litigation – Associate Attorney to join a national coordinating counsel team. The role requires handling civil defense matters with premises and security experience, and offers a flexible hybrid schedule.

Applicants must have a JD from an accredited law school, be admitted to practice in California, and bring 4+ years of civil defense experience.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice in California.
• 4+ years of civil defense, ideally including premises liability, catastrophic loss, and general liability.
• Premises and hospital security experience a plus.
• Superior analytical skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Legal project management experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, and other legal documents
• Attend court hearings, depositions, and mediations
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments and offices, contributing to a cohesive and supportive team environment
• Independently manage a litigation caseload as part of a team, working cases from beginning to end
• Communicate with clients and provide status reports
