Hewlett Packard Enterprise seeks a Systems Engineer focused on Linux and Yocto to help build a next‑generation network operating system. This hybrid role requires collaboration across kernel, OS infrastructure, and user‑space components on x86 and ARM platforms.

You will develop and maintain Linux kernel and Yocto distributions, debug complex issues, enable new hardware, and improve performance and automation. Join a team delivering production‑grade solutions in a dynamic, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Strong low‑level systems programming in C/C++.
• Deep understanding of Linux kernel internals and OS fundamentals.
• Yocto Project expertise including layers, recipes and backporting.
• Experience BSP development, hardware bring‑up, and driver basics.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Linux kernel, platform, and infrastructure software.
• Debug and resolve complex bugs, security issues, and integration problems.
• Build and maintain Yocto‑based distributions and backports.
• Enable new hardware platforms and support BSP development.
• Improve system performance, testing, and developer productivity.
• Collaborate across hardware, platform, and software teams.
