Job summary

SMBC is seeking a Red Hat Linux Engineer to manage and optimize enterprise Linux environments across hybrid cloud platforms. You will automate operations with Ansible and deploy scalable apps on OpenShift, ensuring high availability and security.

You will collaborate with DevOps and cloud teams, develop infrastructure-as-code, monitor performance, and participate in incident response and disaster recovery planning to strengthen our operating environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Linux system administration experience focused on Red Hat technologies.
• Strong hands-on experience with Ansible for automation and configuration management.
• Proficiency in deploying and managing applications on RedHat Linux & OpenShift.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with containerization, microservices architecture, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Scripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar languages.
• Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, and other DevOps tools.
• RHCE/RHCSA certifications or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems in hybrid cloud environments.
• Develop and manage Ansible playbooks and roles for configuration management, provisioning, and orchestration.
• Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot containerized applications on Red Hat OpenShift.
• Collaborate with DevOps and cloud teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment pipelines.
• Monitor system performance, ensure security compliance, and implement best practices for scalability and reliability.
• Automate routine tasks and improve operational efficiency through scripting and infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and disaster recovery planning.
