Job summary

California Commission on the Status of Women and Girls is seeking a Legislative Analyst II to serve as primary staff to the Youth Advisory Council (YAC). The position conducts research, analyzes legislative proposals, and prepares written and oral reports to support policy and programmatic efforts.

The Analyst II will prepare bill analyses, review policy issues, synthesize stakeholder input, and develop policy options for management.

Qualifications

• Reside in California upon appointment.
• Hybrid work; telework up to four days per week.
• Daily use of standard office equipment and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Prepare bill analyses and review policy issues for the Commission.
• Synthesize information from stakeholders and youth participants; develop options and recommendations.
• Coordinate YAC meetings and transform youth input into actionable policy guidance.
• Communicate findings to staff, stakeholders, and the public; manage multiple assignments concurrently.
