Qualifications

• Prior experience as a legal assistant or paralegal, ideally in litigation.
• Strong writing, proofreading, and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with court filing procedures and calendaring.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal practice software.
• Comfortable working independently and managing multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day legal and administrative support for a personal injury and insurance caseload
• Draft, format, and proofread correspondence, pleadings, and other legal documents
• Prepare and file court documents in accordance with deadlines and local rules
• Maintain the attorney’s calendar, including hearings, depositions, and deadlines
• Organize and update case files and records
• Assist with discovery and deposition preparation
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and the court on routine matters
• Handle scheduling, billing entries, and other administrative tasks as needed
