Job summary

Shedd Aquarium is seeking a Learning Specialist to design, implement, and evaluate educational programs across in-person, off-site, and online environments. You will create learner-centered experiences that align with our learning framework and deliver impactful experiences for diverse audiences.

The role requires creativity, reflective practice, collaboration, and the ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and travel to off-site locations as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience teaching in formal or informal settings
• 1+ year of experience designing learning experiences
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Willingness to handle animals for education programs
• Willingness to conduct programs in various environments including off-site and water-based settings
• Must have a valid driver’s license and English proficiency
