STATE STREET CORPORATION seeks a Development Lead in Software Engineering & Development to drive the design, development, testing, and maintenance of our internal platform. You will work on cloud-based solutions using Python, Java, SQL, Spark, and related technologies within an Agile team.

The role emphasizes cloud expertise (Databricks, AWS) and collaboration across teams. Hybrid telecommuting from the U.S. is allowed under company policy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent with 7 years of commercial software development experience.
• Experience with cloud computing and multi‑tier solutions using Python, Java, SQL, and related frameworks.
• Proven ability to develop, test, debug, and implement software programs and projects.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and debug software enhancements and solutions in business and technical domains.
• Develop, test, debug, and implement software on cloud platforms using Python, Java, Spring Boot, SQL, Kafka, Spark.
• Design and independently handle applications and components.
• Write unit and automation tests to ensure quality.
• Participate in code reviews and agile ceremonies.
