Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in environmental health/science with relevant research
• Experience leading field and lab work in environmental health projects
• Ability to develop protocols and SOPs for sampling and analyses
• Willingness to travel domestically or internationally for field work

Responsibilities

• Develop and adapt protocols for environmental sampling and survey instruments
• Develop field and lab techniques for elemental/isotopic characterization (XRF, ICP-MS, ICP-OES, colorimetry)
• Produce and maintain detailed documentation (SOPs, data dictionaries, protocols)
• Ensure documentation aligns with institutional policies and compliance standards
• Develop systems for secure data storage and management
• Oversee logistics for sampling, including use of XRF analyzers
• Maintain lab/manual protocols and QA/QC procedures
• Supervise or train students and interns as needed
• Identify funding opportunities and support proposal development
• Support capacity-building with partners in LMICs
