Job summary

Placements24 seeks a creative Language Arts Curriculum Developer to design and refine educational materials for its language arts programs in Paarl. The role requires expertise in literacy development, pedagogy, and curriculum design to create engaging lessons, activities, and assessments that improve reading, writing, and communication skills.

You will collaborate with educators and subject matter experts, pilot new modules, and adapt content to align with national and provincial standards,

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Education, English, Linguistics, or a related field.
• Proven experience in curriculum development, specifically within Language Arts or English education.
• Strong knowledge of literacy development, grammar, literature, and composition instruction.
• Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with educational standards and assessment design principles.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with strong project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive curriculum frameworks and detailed lesson plans for Language Arts across various grade levels.
• Create engaging and effective instructional materials, including student activities, worksheets, and assessment tools.
• Ensure all curriculum content aligns with national and provincial educational standards and learning outcomes.
• Collaborate with educators and subject matter experts to review and revise existing curriculum materials.
• Research and integrate innovative teaching methodologies and educational technologies into curriculum design.
