Job summary

Farnsworth Group, Inc. is seeking a Landscape Architectural Associate – Entry Level in Peoria, IL to support landscape architecture projects from concept through construction across public spaces, private developments, parks, campuses and more.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to prepare conceptual sketches, technical drawings and presentation materials, and assist with proposals, cost estimates, specifications and reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program.
• 3-5 years of related professional experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience using AutoCAD for drafting.
• Knowledge of plant materials including trees, shrubs, and perennials.
• Preferred knowledge of Adobe Suite.
• Interest in learning or expanding skills in 3D design and graphics software.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the planning, design, bidding, and construction administration of projects.
• Preparing conceptual sketches, technical drawings, and presentation materials.
• Supporting the Project Landscape Architect with proposals, cost estimates, specifications, and reports.
• Participating in client, contractor, and project team meetings.
• Performing site observation and construction administration tasks.
• Delivering work that is accurate, timely, and reflective of Farnsworth’s high standards.
