Qualifications

• Requires 4-year college, preferably with coursework in business or public administration.
• Requires 3 years of progressively responsible administrative experience in labor relations.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Directs and manages labor relations activities for all unit functions, including grievances and policy interpretations.
• Provides information and technical assistance on discipline, grievances, evaluations, and contract interpretations.
• Conducts third level grievance hearings and develops policies related to labor and personnel matters.
• Represents the department at meetings related to labor relations issues.
• Serves as a full line supervisor and oversees related duties within scope.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
