Job summary

International AmLaw 50 law firm in Los Angeles, CA is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Labor & Employment Practice on a hybrid basis. The role focuses on wage-and-hour class actions, PAGA, and single-plaintiff claims, with significant responsibility and client interaction.

Qualified candidates hold a JD from a top-tier law school, an active California Bar license, and 3-5 years of relevant litigation experience, including arbitrations or trials. FEHA and whistleblower matters are a plus.

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record.
• Active Bar Admission in California in good standing.
• 3-5 years of substantive litigation experience with wage and hour class actions, PAGA, and single-plaintiff claims.
• Arbitration, mediation, or trial experience required.
• FEHA, discrimination, harassment and retaliation claims, and whistleblower matters preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in labor and employment litigation matters.
• Draft motions, briefs, memoranda, and other litigation filings.
• Participate in discovery including depositions, document review, and responses.
• Conduct legal research on wage/hour actions, PAGA, and related statutory frameworks.
• Assist with case strategy, risk assessment, and litigation planning with senior attorneys.
• Support clients across industries on complex employment-related litigation.
