Job summary

Essenti Talent is seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Associate Attorney for its Los Angeles office. The candidate will handle sophisticated wage-and-hour, PAGA, and class action matters for a diverse client base within a collaborative team.

Requirements include a California Bar in good standing and 4–7 years of substantive labor and employment law experience, with strong research, writing, and advocacy skills. Arbitration or trial experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with excellent academic record.
• Active Bar Admission in California, in good standing.
• 4–7 years of substantive labor and employment law experience.
• Experience handling wage and hour, PAGA, and class action matters in state and federal courts.
• Strong background advising employers on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Arbitration, mediation, or trial experience required.

Responsibilities

• Represent employers in wage and hour, PAGA, and class action litigation matters.
• Handle a wide range of labor and employment litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Advise clients on compliance with evolving California and federal employment laws.
• Draft motions, briefs, memoranda, and other litigation filings.
• Participate in discovery, including depositions, document review, and discovery responses.
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda, pleadings, and settlement documents.
• Represent clients in disputes involving non-compete and non-solicitation agreements.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop strategic, practical solutions tailored to client needs.
