Job summary

Nelnet is seeking junior to mid-level software engineers to join agile delivery teams building and supporting enterprise imaging/document management software. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining backend services in C#/.NET, frontend Angular apps, and SQL Server databases.

Ideal candidates have a BS in CS or related field and 2–5+ years of software development experience, with strong proficiency in the listed competencies and a willingness to learn new technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 2–5+ years of software development experience.
• Experience with C#/.NET backend and Angular frontend.
• Proficient in SQL Server and relational modeling.
• Familiarity with Git workflows and code reviews.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to obtain US federal security clearance.
