Job summary

AlfaTech Cambridge Group is seeking a Junior Lighting Designer to create lighting concepts across commercial, residential, healthcare, hospitality, higher education, and cultural spaces. The role emphasizes collaboration with senior designers, rigorous documentation, and integrating lighting with MEP and architectural plans using Revit and AGi32.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of lighting design experience, a relevant degree, and proficiency in design tools such as Revit, AGi32, Rhino, Climate

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in lighting design.
• Bachelor’s degree in Lighting Design, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
• Proficiency in lighting design software: AGi32, Autodesk Revit, Rhinoceros, ALFA, Climate Studio, Grasshopper.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior designers to develop innovative lighting concepts and designs for a range of projects.
• Understand and assess project needs and communicate to direct manager.
• Assist in creating detailed lighting plans, layouts, and specifications tailored to project requirements.
• Conduct in-depth research on lighting technologies, products, and industry trends.
• Coordinate with the design team to integrate lighting concepts into overall project plans.
