Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking a Jr. Software Engineer in Morrisville, NC for a hybrid role with a Cloud and Technology company. You will develop cloud-based infrastructure, automate deployments, and collaborate with remote teams in an Agile environment.

Required skills include Python, automation tooling, and experience with cloud platforms (AWS GovCloud, Azure Gov). Onsite work at RTP is expected at least one day per week. Competitive benefits provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software development, computer engineering, mathematics, or related technical field.
• Ability to work in the U.S.
• Experience with Python development and automation; Pytest-Testinfra preferred; familiarity with Terraform and Packer.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and automate cloud-based infrastructure solutions using Python, Pytest-Testinfra, and IaC tools like Ansible, Terraform, and Packer.
• Support deployment, configuration, and maintenance of secure environments within AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, and other clouds.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and related automation tech.
• Administer and troubleshoot Linux environments, containers, Kubernetes, Docker, VMs, and cloud infra.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Kanban environment to deliver high-quality cloud solutions.
