Job summary

aqua IT is seeking a Software Engineer to support a client/server application with a React-based web interface. You will maintain, enhance, and modernize the platform as it migrates to AWS, focusing on performance, reliability, and scalability.

The role requires a TS/SCI clearance (preferred) and experience with Java, React, REST APIs, and cloud platforms. Hybrid onsite work in Arnold, Missouri is available.

Qualifications

• Must possess an Active Top Secret security clearance (TS/SCI preferred) with ability to obtain SCI and CI Poly.
• Experience with Java and modern frontend frameworks (React preferred).
• Familiarity with client/server or distributed application architectures.
• Exposure to AWS or other cloud platforms.
• Experience with REST APIs and database integration.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services in Java (APIs, file processing, synchronization).
• Build and enhance the React-based web application and user interface.
• Support migration of components/workflows to AWS.
• Troubleshoot file transfer, synchronization, and performance issues.
• Collaborate with DevOps to support CI/CD, deployments, and monitoring.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and Agile development processes.
