Job summary

The IT Security Technician plays a key role on the Information Technology Security team in designing, implementing, and supporting security strategies across the Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts (AOPC) and the Unified Judicial System networks.

Reporting to the Security Supervisor, the role maintains perimeter and cybersecurity infrastructure, deploys defense technologies, and conducts incident response, monitoring, and security improvements for 3,000+ hosts and state agencies.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in IT field and 3 years in IT security, network support or admin.
• Equivalent combination of education, experience or training may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain enterprise security infrastructures for AOPC and UJS networks.
• Develop and enforce system security standards, policies, and procedures.
• Identify vulnerabilities and plan mitigations using security logs and analysis.
• Support administration and oversight of security endpoint protection programs.
• Assist in incident response, log reviews, and remediation for 3,000+ hosts.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and security-related deployments.
• Provide 24/7 support for network and security-related issues.
