Job summary

Ultimate Staffing is seeking an IT and Security Engineer for a direct-hire, hybrid role based in Salt Lake City, UT, and San Francisco, CA. You will own the full lifecycle of IT hardware and software, security operations, and cloud security across multiple platforms.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in IT system administration or security engineering, hands-on experience with Okta, Google Workspace, Jira, and GCP, plus Cloudflare and Wazuh.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in IT system administration and/or security engineering across Windows, Linux, and macOS.
• Hands-on experience with Okta, Google Workspace, and Jira/Atlassian.
• Hands-on GCP experience, including IAM and Security Command Center.
• Experience with Cloudflare - WAF/security rules, Access (Zero Trust), DNS, and API protection.
• Experience managing vulnerability disclosure programs (HackerOne or equivalent).
• Hands-on experience with SIEMs and incident response tooling.

Responsibilities

• Own the full lifecycle of IT hardware and software across Linux, Windows, and macOS, including onboarding/offboarding.
• Drive security posture in alignment with ISO 27001 and NIST CSF 2.0; manage vulnerabilities and incident response.
• Administer security tooling (Wazuh, Vault) and run phishing simulations and training.
• Manage IAM, Cloud security, and access reviews across cloud and on-prem environments.
• Lead IT and security projects from scoping through delivery; maintain SLAs and runbooks.
