Job summary

The State of Michigan’s Department of Technology Management and Budget (DTMB) Agency Services area seeks an Information Technology Programmer/Analyst P11 to design, develop, test and deploy agency applications within client/server and web environments under SEM guidelines. Hybrid work option provides two days on-site in Lansing, MI and three days remote per week.

A sign-on bonus up to $2,500 is possible; education options include Bachelor's or Associate degrees with specified credits and

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 21 semester (32 term) credits in IT related fields, or equivalent.
  • Associate's degree with 16 semester (24 term) credits and two years of experience, or two years as IT Student Assistant.
  • High school + four years of relevant experience as alternative education path.

Responsibilities

  • Design, maintain, develop and enhance agency applications.
  • Develop, test and deploy application releases within client/server and web server environments.
  • Follow State of Michigan SEM methodology for project work.

Education

Bachelor's degree with 21 semester/32 term credits in computer science, data processing, computer information systems, data communications, networking, systems analysis, computer programming, information assurance, IT project management or mathematics
Associate's degree with 16 semester/24 term credits in computer science, information assurance, data processing, computer information, data communications, networking, systems analysis, computer programming, IT project management, or mathematics and two years of experience as an application programmer, computer operator, or information technology technician; or two years (4,160 hours) of experience as an Information Technology Student Assistant may be substituted for the education requirement
Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school and four years of experience as an application programmer, computer operator, information technology technician, or four years (8,320 hours) of experience as an Information Technology Student Assistant may be substituted for the education requirement
