STARK is seeking a Business Analyst to join our Information Technology team in New York, NY (Hybrid). You will bridge business stakeholders and the development team, translating operational needs into Jira stories and supporting technology initiatives across purchasing, finance, warehouse operations, and logistics.

This role emphasizes documenting requirements, facilitating discovery, maintaining the backlog, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role.
• Ability to write clear, actionable Jira stories and acceptance criteria.
• Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or other iterative project management frameworks.
• Proven ability to facilitate requirements workshops with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools (Word, Excel, Teams).
• Organized and detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple workstreams.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders to elicit, document, and validate requirements for technology initiatives.
• Translate business requirements into well-structured Jira epics, stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Conduct gap analysis comparing current-state to future-state outcomes, identifying improvements.
• Maintain and prioritize the product backlog in collaboration with the project lead and development team.
• Facilitate requirements workshops and working sessions with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Support sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives as needed.
• Perform light project management duties including tracking deliverables and stakeholder communication.
• Provide status updates to business owners without requiring attendance at every development meeting.
• Document current-state and future-state processes with data mapping and field-level documentation.
• Support change management by documenting changes and communicating impacts to users.
• Assist UAT team during testing cycles by clarifying requirements.
