Job summary

Grant Thornton US is seeking an IT Assurance Associate to deliver IT audit services for financial statement audits. You will test information systems controls, identify security and risk issues, and help improve client processes. The role requires strong client-service skills, a relevant degree, and pursuit of CPA/CISA/CISSP/CIA/CISM licenses.

Hybrid work with in-person client site attendance is supported. Ideal candidates have related IT risk/audit experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, MIS or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
• Desire to pursue CPA, CISA, CISSP, CIA or CISM license/certification.
• Some related work experience in public accounting or equivalent delivering controls-based services and auditing ITGCs in support of financial statement audits.
• Information Security experience or information security training is required.
• Exceptional client service and communication skills.
• Strong technical aptitude and problem solving skills.
• Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Effective project and time management for handling multiple priorities and projects.

Responsibilities

• Deliver IT audit services and testing of information systems controls in support of financial statement audits.
• Identify security and risk management issues and opportunities for process improvement.
• Interact professionally with client management to manage expectations and ensure client satisfaction.
• Understand client operations and business objectives to apply knowledge to engagements.
• Participate in recruiting efforts as needed.
• Meet IT Assurance metrics such as billable hours, time delinquencies, and CPD targets.
• Engage in business development activities as appropriate.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
