Sterne, Kessler, Goldstein & Fox P.L.L.C. seeks an Associate for the Trial & Appellate Group in Washington, D.C. This role offers exposure to high-stakes IP litigation across trial courts, the ITC, PTAB, and the Federal Circuit, with hands-on responsibility and frequent client interaction.

You must hold a JD and be licensed in a U.S. jurisdiction (DC bar eligibility required). The firm values stellar academics and a collaborative, hybrid in‑office work model with flexible in-office days.

Qualifications

• JD and active bar admission in a U.S. jurisdiction; DC bar eligibility or sit for DC bar exam.
• 3-5 years practicing patent/IP litigation at another firm.
• Hybrid work model preferred; regular in-office presence with flexibility on days.
• Foundation in IP and patent law.
• Stellar academic credentials.

Responsibilities

• Handle high-stakes IP litigation across trial courts, ITC, PTAB, and Federal Circuit with close collaboration.
• Provide substantive work early with client interaction and strategic decision-making.
• Work in a lean team environment with hands-on responsibility.
