Job summary

Vsco39, located in San Francisco, is seeking a Staff Engineer with a strong background in iOS development to lead decision-making on architectural choices and mentor fellow engineers. You’ll work in a collaborative environment, addressing complex technical challenges and contributing to the creation of innovative tools for photographers.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience with Swift and Objective-C, and a passion for AI-assisted development workflows. Responsibilities include writing clean code and guiding the team through technical challenges while ensuring high-quality delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience building iOS applications in Swift and/or Objective-C.
• Experience owning projects end-to-end from initial prototypes to customer roll out.
• Professional experience working on mobile consumer applications at scale.

Responsibilities

• Lead decision-making on architectural decisions aligned with company goals.
• Write clean, testable, maintainable Swift and Objective-C code.
• Guide engineers through design decisions and architectural trade-offs.
• Drive code quality through PR reviews and champion AI-assisted development.
