Rachel Laxer Interiors is seeking an Interior Designer to join our team in a hybrid role based in our Scarsdale studio. Candidates should have a minimum of three years of experience, preferably in high-end residential design, and be comfortable managing projects from concept to installation.

The position offers a hybrid schedule (work from home and in-studio) with flexible 4- or 5-day weeks for the right candidate, travel to project sites as needed, and a compensation range of $70,000–$85,000

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in interior design, preferably high-end residential.
• Strong verbal, written, and visual communication skills.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, InDesign, Photoshop, and Excel.

Responsabilités

• Prepare plans, elevations, and presentations in AutoCAD and InDesign.
• Source and select fabrics, finishes, and furnishings, collecting samples in person.
• Prepare FF&E specifications, schedules, cost plans, proposals, and invoices.
• Track orders and deliveries, resolving issues before they affect a deadline.
• Prepare COIs and handle building alteration and decorating agreements.
• Create custom work orders for suppliers.
• Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and building teams, including regular time on site.
