Job summary

The Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries (BOLI) is hiring an Intake Investigator (CRDI) for a full-time Limited Duration hybrid role with onsite requirements. You will review discrimination and retaliation allegations, interview complainants, evaluate jurisdiction, and draft legally sufficient complaints to initiate formal investigations.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience) related to the class concept that includes the collection and analysis of facts and making recommendations based on such.
• Special Qualification: Experience interpreting and applying protected-leave laws to evaluate whether allegations meet legal jurisdiction and filing criteria.
• Demonstrated ability to interview complainants in sensitive, emotional, or high-stress situations while maintaining professionalism, neutrality, and accuracy.
• Experience reviewing evidence, or questionnaires and drafting clearly, legally sufficient complaints and documentation with exceptional precision and writing quality.

Responsibilities

• Review discrimination and retaliation allegations and interview complainants.
• Evaluate jurisdiction under state and federal civil rights laws and draft legally sufficient complaints to initiate formal investigations.
• Explain processes and provide accurate guidance to the public about discrimination and BOLI’s procedures.
