Job summary

KidsCare Home Health is seeking an Insurance Authorization Specialist to manage multiple payer sources, obtain and recertify physician-ordered service authorizations, and ensure timely processing and reauthorization. The role supports discharge processing and referrals while adhering to company policies.

The ideal candidate communicates effectively in English and Spanish, handles complex workflows, and works in a hybrid environment balancing in-office and remote work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a related role.
• Bilingual English/Spanish with reading, writing and speaking fluency.
• Ability to follow detailed written instructions and solve problems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with MS Office and database software.

Responsibilities

• Maintain authorization workflows and the authorization roster.
• Contact payer source for outstanding authorizations.
• Process original authorization and ensure timely review and updating for reauthorization.
• Complete scan and send TP2 forms and other reauthorization documentation to the ordering physician and payer source.
• Schedule TRC evaluations with patient families and Clinical Manager.
• Process payer changes in a timely manner.
• Ensure timely processing of discharges in the healthcare software system.
• Assist with processing of incoming referrals as needed.
• Comply with all company policies, practices, and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
