Evonik Oxeno in Mapleton, IL seeks an Instrument & Electrical Technician to perform basic to mid-level I&E craft tasks with formal training in the I&E organization. The role includes installation, troubleshooting, and calibration of electrical equipment, instrumentation, and analytical devices within an industrial plant.

The incumbent will mentor entry-level staff, ensure safety compliance, and document work in SAP CMMS while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate degree preferred.
• Experience: minimum 2 years in I&E craft roles.
• Knowledge of instrumentation, control loops, and process controls.
• Familiar with electrical codes, diagrams, and blueprints.
• Experience with SAP CMMS and documentation practices.

Responsibilities

• Understand and apply Industrial Safety requirements for Instrument and Electrical crafts.
• Use measurement and test equipment to troubleshoot and calibrate instrumentation.
• Work on instrumentation calibration and process control loops.
• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical equipment and instrumentation.
• Read electrical codes and blueprints; document repair activities and seek improvements.
• Promote safe work and mentor others on maintenance principles.
