Job summary

Forbes is seeking a Manager, Infrastructure to lead the corporate tech infrastructure for a remote and hybrid workforce. You will manage one junior engineer, own identity, email, endpoint, cloud, and core enterprise systems, and report to the Director of Technology Support.

The role blends hands-on technical leadership with people management, sets direction for the environment, and collaborates with Cybersecurity and Tech Support to maintain security and reliability.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Corporate IT, Infrastructure, or Systems Engineering, with 2+ years of people management.
• Proven experience managing identity platforms: Okta, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), and Active Directory.
• Strong experience administering Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, and Google Workspace.
• Hands-on experience with Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with endpoint management using Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, and Jamf Pro across Windows and macOS.
• Strong background in email security (Mimecast, Proofpoint, or similar) and email authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC).
• ,
• Solid understanding of endpoint security tooling (CrowdStrike or equivalent).
• Working knowledge of networking fundamentals: Wi-Fi, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to balance operational support with project delivery and team development.
• Ability to regularly lift and carry objects weighing between 20 and 30 pounds.
• Certifications in cloud, identity, or IT management (preferred).
• Experience in a security-conscious or compliance-driven environment (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide infrastructure leadership and set priorities for the team.
• Train, develop, and performance-manage one junior infrastructure engineer with regular feedback.
• Offer technical guidance and act as senior escalation point for complex issues.
• Build and maintain team standards, runbooks, and documentation.
• Collaborate with HR, Legal on email and access matters including eDiscovery and offboarding.
• Own identity and access management across Okta, Entra ID, and Active Directory.
• Manage Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Google Workspace; hybrid Exchange where applicable.
• Oversee endpoint management with Intune, Autopilot, and Jamf Pro across Windows/macOS.
• Manage Azure cloud infrastructure and core enterprise systems for reliability and cost.
• Oversee email security gateway and SPF/DKIM/DMARC authentication.
• Maintain endpoint security tooling and compliance baselines.
• Support audits, incidents, and security initiatives with Cybersecurity.
• Lead infrastructure projects from planning to delivery and vendor management.
