Job summary

Legence in California is seeking a Staff Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and support core enterprise infrastructure across on‑prem and cloud environments, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.

You will manage Windows Server and Active Directory, configure multi‑vendor networking gear, and work with Azure IaaS/PaaS, automation, and monitoring while collaborating with IT teams and vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• 5–10 years experience in enterprise infrastructure roles covering networking, Windows systems, and/or cloud platforms.
• Experience with multi‑vendor firewalls, switches, wireless, IPv4, routing protocols, NAT, VPNs, VLANs.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support network infrastructure with Layer 2/3 concepts.
• Configure multi‑vendor switches, wireless APs, routers, and firewalls.
• Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, and related identity services.
• Support cloud services (Azure) including IaaS, PaaS, identity, automation, and monitoring.
• Monitor performance, diagnose issues, and maintain runbooks and diagrams.
• Ensure security controls and compliance with enterprise standards.
• Collaborate with IT teams and vendors on infrastructure projects.
