Job summary

Safe-Guard Products International is seeking an Information Security Analyst to support the security program through hands-on operations, incident triage, and platform administration.

You will partner with infrastructure, application, and support teams to ensure security requirements are understood, implemented, and sustained while leveraging AI tools to enhance detection, investigation, and automation.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of hands-on information security or security operations experience.
  • Knowledge of attack techniques, defense-in-depth, and incident response lifecycle.
  • Experience with at least two categories: EDR/XDR, secure web/network access, vulnerability management, data access monitoring, or SIEM.
  • Networking fundamentals and Windows/Linux administration.
  • Identity and access management concepts.
  • Ability to write incident notes, procedures, and findings clearly.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage competing priorities.
  • Experience using AI assistants with independent verification.
  • Comfortable collaborating with peers outside security.
  • Bachelor's degree in information security or equivalent.
  • Experience administering physical access control and video surveillance.
  • Experience tuning detection rules and reducing alert noise in SIEM.
  • Scripting/automation (PowerShell, Python).
  • Cloud familiarity (Azure, AWS).
  • Familiarity with NIST CSF, CIS Controls, SOC 2, PCI DSS.
  • Relevant certifications: Security+, CySA+, GCIH, GSEC, SSCP, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Own an assigned queue of security requests, access reviews, escalations, and remediation tasks with defined SLAs.
  • Maintain auditable records of actions, decisions, and evidence.
  • Identify recurring ticket drivers and recommend automation or process improvements.
  • Serve as first-level responder for security alerts and events; triage and escalate as needed.
  • Perform initial investigation using endpoint, network, identity, and log telemetry.
  • Contribute to post-incident documentation and follow-up remediation tracking.
  • Participate in on-call or after-hours escalation rotation when required.
  • Operate and maintain core security tooling (EDR/XDR, SSE/SWG/ZTNA, data governance, vulnerability management).
  • Monitor platform health, licensing, agent coverage, and upgrade cycles.
  • Tune detection content in SIEM to reduce false positives and improve alert context.
  • Onboard and validate new log sources; ensure parsing and retention meet needs.
  • Build dashboards, saved searches, and reporting for leadership visibility.
  • Document detection logic and response guidance for actionable steps.
  • Administer physical security systems including badge issuance and video surveillance.
  • Coordinate with facilities, HR, and vendors on installation, maintenance, and expansion.
  • Retrieve and preserve access logs and video footage for investigations with proper chain-of-custody.
  • Leverage AI tools in daily security work with judgment to verify outputs.
  • Identify AI-driven efficiency opportunities and help implement them.
