Job summary

DSJ Global is seeking a Trade Compliance Analyst in the Charlotte area to strengthen global import/export operations. The role emphasizes data-driven analysis, root-cause investigation, and actionable improvements in HTS classifications and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate will collaborate with Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement, Finance, and external brokers to ensure compliant movement of goods and adherence to U.S. regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Trade Compliance or related area.
• Strong HTS classification knowledge and customs regulations.
• Experience working with customs brokers and managing import/export activities.
• Advanced Excel skills with data analysis and reporting.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and maintain accurate HTS classifications for imported products.
• Investigate classification discrepancies and data/documentation errors.
• Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to obtain missing data.
• Support import/export compliance and adherence to U.S. regulations.
• Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and agencies to resolve issues.
• Review customs entry documentation and tariff classifications for accuracy.
• Monitor regulatory changes impacting compliance programs.
• Develop dashboards and reporting to provide visibility into metrics.
• Utilize data analytics to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Assist in audits and compliance reviews.
• Drive continuous improvement in trade compliance processes.
• Train internal stakeholders on requirements and best practices.
