Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certified Medical Assistant or Medical Technologist preferred.
• 2–4 years’ experience in a medical facility environment.
• Experience with electronic health records, preferably Medent.
• Understanding of HIPAA rules.

Responsibilities

• Provide data entry, scanning and routing.
• Scan and attach lab tests, x-rays, and other records to appropriate orders.
• Attach labs to correct orders and input lab values into a trackable field.
• List open labs and address open labs per WCPC policies and procedures.
• Verify open/incomplete studies with patient/facility/referring physician as directed.
• Route all reports to primary care provider per WCPC policies and procedures.
• Request medical records from outside facilities in compliance with HIPAA and CFR Title 42 Part 2.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
