Job summary

SMBC Group is seeking an Associate-level Infrastructure & Engineering Specialist to support mission-critical Global Markets Sales & Trading platforms. The role blends hands-on infrastructure delivery, environment management, production support, and project delivery across Americas and Tokyo teams.

Based in New York or New Jersey, the role requires business-level Japanese and English, and a hybrid work model with on-call responsibilities beyond standard hours.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of experience in infrastructure/platform engineering or related tech roles.
• Experience in highly regulated financial services environments.

Responsibilities

• Support mission-critical Global Markets Sales & Trading platforms across development, QA, UAT, DR, and production environments.
• Coordinate issue resolution with cross-functional teams (development, security, vendor) and stakeholders.
• Participate in release planning, production deployments, and disaster recovery exercises.
• Provide on-call support for after-hours incidents and weekend maintenance.
