Xcel Energy seeks an experienced Staff Engineer to develop and support integrated strategic plans for gas and electric distribution systems. You will identify collaboration opportunities, evaluate future scenarios, and align resources, forecasts, and priorities across teams.

The role requires broad engineering knowledge, strong technical communication, and the ability to lead complex projects with a focus on regulatory requirements and sustainable energy solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from ABET accredited institution.
• EIT/FE certification strongly preferred; PE may be required depending on business need.
• 5+ years engineering experience with electrical/civil emphasis is desired.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects of moderate to large size or portions of major projects.
• Apply technical standards, theories, and concepts to design, evaluate, and improve plans.
• Coordinate across teams and external stakeholders; provide guidance and mentorship.
