Job summary

Sierra Ventures is seeking a hands-on full-stack developer to build and ship features from concept to post-launch iteration. You will work closely with design and product teams to craft scalable UX and robust backend services. The role emphasizes practical impact and customer-centered delivery.

You’ll own features end-to-end, align with product goals, and contribute to architecture decisions while maintaining a collaborative, knowledge-sharing culture. Hybrid work in the SF Bay Area is supported.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years of experience as a frontend or fullstack developer, with product collaboration.
• Knowledge in React and backend frameworks (e.g., Node.js, Django) plus SQL/NoSQL databases and APIs.
• Passion for shipping user-facing features and iterating quickly based on feedback.
• Inclusive mindset and ability to collaborate with diverse team.

Responsibilities

• Build & ship end-to-end features (frontend UIs to backend services/APIs).
• Own projects full lifecycle: design discussions & technical scoping, implementation & testing, post-launch iteration.
• Translate ideas to intuitive, performant, scalable UX.
• Contribute to system architecture - ensure reliable, maintainable, scalable stack.
• Balance velocity vs. technical excellence - ship quickly vs. invest in long-term quality.
• Uphold collaborative team culture - share knowledge & best practices.
