Job summary

Metrologic is seeking a Software Engineer to join the QDM/IF development team in Wixom, MI. You will design, develop, and maintain software across Angular front-ends, .NET services, and PostgreSQL databases to enable global manufacturers to manage quality data and analyze process performance.

This full-stack role involves working with Product Management and QA teams to deliver secure, scalable software and to support releases, upgrades, and maintenance in a hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of professional software development experience building commercial web applications.
• Strong experience with C# and .NET, Angular, TypeScript, or a comparable modern front-end framework, SQL and relational database design.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain applications using C#, .NET, Angular, TypeScript, SQL, and PostgreSQL.
• Design, implement, and support REST APIs and database solutions.
• Create scalable, high-performing software while following established architecture and coding standards.
• Contribute to technical specifications, API contracts, and data model designs.
• Develop and execute unit, integration, and end-to-end testing strategies.
• Validate analytical and statistical results against reference data.
• Apply secure coding practices and resolve vulnerabilities.
• Support software releases, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance activities.
• Partner with Product Management and quality engineering teams to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Help onboard and support junior team members, interns, or apprentices.
• Contribute ideas that improve products, processes, and technology.
