Job summary

Blue Shield of CA is seeking a senior Full Stack Engineer to architect scalable applications for clinicians and patients. You will own end-to-end UI, logic, and data, delivering connected experiences from frontend interfaces to backend services.

You will collaborate with product, design, QA, security, and platform teams in a hybrid in-office model, typically two days per week, with flexible schedules and opportunities to grow. Experience with regulated environments is valued.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in full stack development.
• BA/BS or equivalent IT experience.
• Proficiency in modern front-end frameworks and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience building backend services and APIs with .NET/Java/Node.js/Python.
• Strong knowledge of SQL/NoSQL and RESTful integrations.
• Experience developing cloud-native applications (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP acceptable).
• Experience with containerization (Docker).
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
• Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Git-based version control.
• Experience using AI-assisted coding tools in professional software development.
• Healthcare domain familiarity and interoperability standards preferred.
• End-to-end ownership mindset; strong collaboration skills.
