Job summary

Kutak Rock, a nationally recognized Am Law 200 firm, is seeking a Legal Recruiting Specialist to support firmwide hiring initiatives and coordinate the hiring and onboarding process. The role, reporting to the Director of Recruiting, is ideal for an experienced recruiter who thrives in a collaborative environment and works across multiple offices.

The position is full-time with a hybrid work option and location flexibility among several offices, including Tallahassee.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of legal industry recruiting best practices.
• Excellent interpersonal skills fostering relationships with managers, applicants and stakeholders.
• Experience with candidate sourcing platforms, pipeline management, and reporting.
• Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HRIS.
• Ability to handle highly sensitive data with confidentiality and integrity.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong project management skills coordinating complex recruiting processes.
• Commitment to inclusive sourcing and equitable offers.
• Understanding of HR principles, practices and procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to build trusted advisor relationships with attorneys and firm leadership.

Responsibilities

• Manage full cycle recruiting by partnering with groups and departments for lateral, associate, professional, and legal staff roles.
• Partner with office and department leaders to understand hiring needs and implement recruitment strategies.
• Execute recruiting searches and coordinate outreach plans with hiring managers.
• Share market intelligence and recruitment strategies to improve outcomes.
• Facilitate firmwide recruiting processes including sourcing, screening, interviewing, offers, and onboarding.
• Proactively manage recruitment timelines and candidate progression.
• Conduct market research on candidates, groups, and firms.
• Maintain timely communications with candidates and stakeholders.
• Develop job postings with hiring managers and advise on pay ranges based on market data.
• Ensure compliance with pay transparency laws and best practices.
• Coordinate with external search firms and job boards to find qualified candidates.
• Support firm policies and local laws in recruiting practices.
• Contribute to employer branding and social media recruitment presence.
• Gather feedback to improve candidate experience and recruiting processes.
• Provide data-driven insights for strategic workforce planning.
