Job summary

PeoplePilot in Melbourne, FL is seeking an FPGA hardware design engineer for a hybrid role. The job combines three days on site with two days of work from home, enabling close collaboration with hardware and software teams.

You will lead FPGA design, development, bring-up, debugging, lab validation, and system integration efforts, supporting software teams and design reviews. Compensation ranges from $110,000 to $140,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Must-have: US citizenship or GC due to ITAR requirements.
• DO-254 experience required.
• Proficiency with Xilinx FPGA tools and MATLAB modeling.
• Hardware lab testing and system integration experience.
• Timing analysis and timing closure experience.
• RF, SDR, radar, or communications systems experience.
• FPGA board bring-up and hardware debugging experience.
• Experience with ModelSim and Questa.
• Requirements capture and detailed design documentation.

Responsibilities

• Responsibilities include FPGA design, development, documentation, hardware bring-up, debugging, lab validation, software and system integration support, and participation in design reviews.
